“Art is revolutionary. It unites and connects. Art creates spaces, perspectives and enables new discourses. She is my passion, my mouthpiece.”
Joschua Gumpert, born on January 21, 1996, is a self-taught and political artist. He lives and works in Hamburg.
In 2019 he founded Statement Art, a worldwide new concept for the artistic conception and presentation of his works of art. The large-format main motifs are designed to be double-sided. A realistic and an abstract work combine to form a total work of art. But individual motifs are also part of Joschua Gumpert’s repertoire.
His works deal with the major civilizational themes of our time: our relationship to the environment and living nature, our behavior as a species as a whole.
“We are moving further and further away from our basic humanitarian principles and disconnecting ourselves from the natural world. Due to the increasingly drastic nature of the climate and ecological crisis, we need ideas and solutions that show a way out of the current system. Everyone needs a clear positioning – now and immediately, without any ifs or buts.”
With his art, Joschua Gumpert opens up visions and solutions on how we can preserve the diversity and beauty of this planet, stabilize the ecosystem, cover our resource needs through alternatives and preserve the unique diversity of species.
“I want to direct all my energy and strength towards being a part of this solution that I dream of. That’s what I stand for as a person and as an artist.”
